My name is Michelle Masters. I am the Servant Leader for Servant Leadership Training.

Servant Leadership is a term I first learned as part of my Project Management training in the 1990s. It is both an art form and a science based on characteristics such as: listening, empathy, awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, foresight, and stewardship.

You can see that, through these characteristics, Servant Leaders put the majority of their focus on empowering people. This doesn’t mean the Servant Leader is weak. Quite the opposite. Servant Leaders are some of the most confident, high-performing, and successful people on the planet. The strongest and most successful leaders in history both inspired and helped others to succeed. That’s what Servant Leadership is all about!

Helping people to succeed has always been one of my passions. It is a primary driver that always gives me energy vs taking energy from me. So it was exciting to finally have a name, Servant Leadership, for the way I thought people should lead: From a position of self-assuredness and confidence that truly enjoys letting other people shine.

I’ve been a leader to many hundreds of people during my 30-year professional career in Information Technology, Information Security, and Project/Program Management. I am tremendously proud of the impact that I’ve made to so many over those years. Those who adopted a Servant Leader style never regretted it and only benefited from it. In doing so they both positively and permanently helped themselves and those around them. I know that each of them continue to almost effortlessly unlocked an abundance of creativity while establishing a sense of purpose and achievement for everyone they touch (including themselves and me)!

Adopting a Servant Leadership approach will permeate both your professional and personal life. With this approach to leadership you’ll realize less stress and more joy in your workday, which benefits your homelife as well. You’ll learn that addressing negative behaviors from others results in less confrontational drama and more problem solving for solutions. You’ll experience both giving and receiving positive energy throughout your day through the successes that you help others achieve.

You’ll be happier as a result and so with those around you.

If you’re interested in improving yourself and expanding your reach in the world, Servant Leadership just might be the way to do it. And I’d love to be someone who helps you walk that path!

Surround yourself with people who push you
to do better and be better.
